We are delighted to celebrate the successes of our Year 13 students today, reflecting two years of hard work and determination.
We are incredibly proud of all our students, who have achieved these outstanding results.
Overall, almost all A-Levels at the Sixth Form received grades A*-C (90%), with nearly three quarters achieving a Grade B or better (73%). Almost half of qualifications (45%) were awarded at A*-A and 15% of A-Levels were awarded the top A* grade, well above national averages. 42 students achieved at least three A-Levels at grade A or above with 9 students getting at least three A* grades.
Audrey achieved the top A* grade in all of her A-Level subjects. She is going to be going to Clare College at the University of Cambridge to study Human, Social and Political Sciences. She said:
“I am so grateful to all the teachers and everyone at LGGS who have helped me grow into someone I’m proud to be”
The high success rate means that students have secured their places at their chosen universities to study a wide range of courses including Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science, Mathematics, Law, Psychology, Philosophy and Politics, Sports Science, Business and Fine Art
Charlotte will be going to the University of East Anglia to study Medicine. She said:
“Huge congratulations to everyone on their results. Thank you to LGGS for the amazing support and helping me to apply for Medicine. I will really miss LGGS”
We are particularly proud of the students who joined LGGS Sixth Form in Year 12 from local high schools, who have achieved impressive results which will now take them on to study subjects including Veterinary Science, Law and Mathematics.
Giselle joined LGGS in Year 12 and will be going on to study Veterinary Science at the University of Ediburgh. She said:

Our very experienced Sixth Form team ensures that every student receives personalised guidance throughout their time in our Sixth Form to be absolutely the best that they can be, in every sense.
Julie Dobson, Head of Sixth Form at LGGS, praised students who she said had worked incredibly hard to achieve these amazing results. She said:
“We know some of our students have had to overcome significant barriers to achieve what they have done this summer, and their resilience and determination is inspirational. Our students have shown great leadership during their time in the Sixth Form and have been tremendous role models for the younger students. Well done!”
