GCSE Results Day 2024

Many congratulations to Lancaster Girls’ Grammar School Year 11 students, who have achieved an exceptional set of GCSE Results.  

Over 95% of students achieved a ‘strong pass’ in GCSE English and Maths, while 100% of students achieved a ‘standard pass’ in GCSE English and Maths. Over two-thirds of exam results were graded 9 to 7 with 46% graded at 9 or 8. 

Alex will be going on to study A-Levels at LGGS in History, Theatre Studies and English Literature. She said: 

“I’ve had the best 5 years at LGGS. Thank you to all of my teachers for the fantastic support. Well done to everyone else collecting their results today” 

Eva will be going to the Royal Conservatoire of Scottland to start a degree in Ballet. She said: 

“Thank you everyone at LGGS for their support and especially the PE department. I will miss everyone greatly but really excited about following my dream.” 

Mr David Green, Assistant Headteacher said: 'It has been a real pleasure to work with this group of students throughout Key Stage 4. Their commitment to their studies has produced results that the students can be immensely proud of. Well done Year 11.' Mr David Green, Assistant Headteacher 

Mr Chris Beard, Headteacher said 'Well done to our Year 11 students as they celebrate their success today, we are incredibly proud of them. These excellent results are a testament to their hard work, dedication and resilience. We look forward to welcoming many of them back to the Sixth Form at LGGS in September.’
