The Start of September 2025
To all students who have chosen to enrol with LGGS Sixth Form - we look forward to seeing you for your first day in Year 12 on Tuesday 2nd September. The day will begin at 8.40 with a Welcome Assembly in the Centenary Hall. Students should come directly to the Centenary Hall, from 8.15 onwards, where they will sign in and be told their form group.
For students who are not familiar with our school site, please just come to our Main School entrance opposite Dallas Road Primary School and our Y13 helpers will show you where to go. We ask that all students arrive in time to be signed in and seated by 8.40.
On the first day students should bring: A4 lined paper, a ring binder, file dividers, an academic diary or planner and basic stationery. Students may bring a tablet or laptop if they wish, but this is not expected.
Y12 students may go into town at lunchtime if they wish to, but many students bring packed lunches or take advantage of the great food provided in the Dining Room. The Dining Room is also open to Sixth Form students thoughout the morning if they are not in lessons.
What you will need for the start of Year 12 2025
As we explained on our Induction Day in June, you will need to complete Summer Work for each of the subjects you have chosen to study at A-level, ths is to help ease the transition to A level study and should help you to feel that you have chosen the right A Level subjects. You will find the Summer Work for all subjects at the bottom of this page.
